Suction-cup foot with 5 mm (M5) thread for slicers, compatible with RGV Kelly and similar models fitted with this mount. It is one of the four feet the slicer base rests on.
What it's for. The rubber suction-cup foot has two functions: keeping the machine steady on the work surface thanks to the suction grip, and dampening the vibrations of the motor during slicing. Efficient feet are also a matter of safety: they stop the slicer from shifting while the blade is turning.
When to replace them. Over time the rubber hardens, cracks or loses suction: the machine starts to slip or vibrate. When that happens it's best to replace the feet, preferably all four together so the base stays level.
Size. 5 mm (M5) thread: screws into the same hole as the previous foot. Before ordering, check the screw diameter and overall size, as feet with a different thread also exist (for example the larger 8 mm version for heavier machines).
