fame coverage micro grater

This is the protective cover for the safety microswitch fitted on the roller lever of Fama graters. The microswitch detects the position of the lever/guard and prevents the machine from starting when it is raised; the cover shields the electrical contacts and wiring from dust, grated cheese residue and moisture, avoiding false contacts or a jammed microswitch.

Replace it when it is cracked, deformed or no longer stays in place, leaving the microswitch exposed: in these cases the machine may give false contacts, fail to start, or suffer damage from dirt and moisture reaching the microswitch.
