The pin for swan arm column is the pivot component that allows rotation of the column on which the characteristic swan-neck arm of RGV slicers is mounted — the curved arm that holds the sharpener/blade-guard assembly above the blade. Thanks to this pin, the arm can rotate to bring the sharpener into contact with the blade during sharpening and then return it to its rest position.
