The dough hook is the tool designed for heavy, leavened doughs (bread, pizza, focaccia): its hook shape develops and strengthens the gluten network without heating the dough, unlike the whisk (light mixing) and the flat beater (soft mixtures). Replace it if it becomes bent, worn or has been lost.
Specific to the 7-litre version of the Sirman Plutone / Italservice Ischia. For other tasks, see the whisk and flat beater for the same machine.
