The ABO mod. 22 knife pin (ref. ABOTRI0002) is the threaded pin that mounts and locks the cross-shaped knife inside the grinding assembly of a size-22 meat mincer. Screwed onto the auger, it keeps the knife pressed against the perforated plate: it is exactly this pin-knife-plate coupling that produces a clean cut of the meat and prevents the mince from being crushed or overheated.

This is a wear component: over time the thread can strip, the pin can bend or develop play, and the bearing flange can wear down. When this happens the knife no longer sits correctly against the plate, the meat comes out torn and yield drops. Fitting a sound pin restores the original cutting pressure.

Part specific to ABO machines, model 22. Always check, before purchasing, that it matches the pin fitted on your machine (thread and bearing face) to ensure interchangeability.
