Round magnet, diameter 10 mm, part of the magnet/magnetic-sensor pair used in the safety interlock systems of food processing machines (slicers, meat grinders and similar). The magnet is fixed to the moving part of the machine (such as a guard or cover): when the guard is closed, the magnet stays close to its matching magnetic sensor, keeping the circuit closed and allowing the motor to run; when the guard is opened or removed, the magnet moves away, the contact opens and the motor stops for safety.
