This Fama sharpener is the complete sharpening unit with hood for 300 gravity slicers, models FA302 and FA303 (ref. AGWS30G022). The unit houses the grinding wheels that restore the blade's edge, while the hood covers and protects the wheels when the sharpener is not in use, keeping them free of dust and cutting residue. For a clean, even edge, use short, light passes and avoid holding the blade against the wheels for too long: prolonged or overly frequent use wears down the abrasive wheels faster and can overheat the edge instead of sharpening it cleanly. Replace this part when the wheels are worn or glazed and no longer sharpen the blade effectively, or when the hood is cracked, damaged or no longer closes the unit properly and leaves the wheels exposed. Compatible exclusively with Fama 300 gravity slicers, models FA302 and FA303, this is a direct replacement unit and not an aftermarket adaptation.
