Safety shield between the hand and the blade during slicing: mandatory component, to be replaced if broken or missing. Hole centre distance 14.9 cm (measurement to check for compatibility). Specific to FAC/Swedlinghaus, not interchangeable with RGV models.
8 µF (mF) capacitor for the single-phase electric motor of small commercial food-prep machines.
The start/run capacitor provides the phase shift needed to start the single-phase motor and keep it running smoothly. When it wears out, the motor struggles to start, hums without turning over or loses torque: it is a classic electrical wear part.
Before purchasing, check that the value (8 µF) and the working voltage match those of the capacitor fitted on your machine. Replacement must be carried out by qualified technical personnel, with the machine unplugged and after discharging the capacitor.
