The carriage lock knob with Ø12 bushing (code AGWSAFF0050) is the locking handle for the carriage of professional slicers. Screwed onto its threaded pin, it locks the carriage (or the carriage/food tray) in place during slicing, preventing unwanted movement that would compromise cutting precision. Inside the knob sits a Ø12 mm bushing that houses the pin and keeps the coupling precise and free of play between the two parts. It is a suitable replacement for slicers using this 12 mm bushing locking system. Replace it when the thread is worn or the bushing has worn down: in these cases the knob no longer tightens enough and the carriage keeps moving even with the knob screwed on, making the slicing operation unstable and unsafe.
