Lid gasket for the Sirman SP40 vacuum machine chamber, with lip, profile 5x6 mm and length 210 cm. It is the perimeter gasket that runs along the edge of the bell/lid: on closing it seals against the chamber and lets the pump create the vacuum. It is the most important wear part for the machine's performance.

The flexible lip increases the seal and compensates for small closing irregularities. With repeated cycles the gasket flattens, hardens or splits: the symptoms are insufficient vacuum, a lengthening cycle or poorly sealed bags. Replacing it restores the original vacuum level and airtightness.
